Don Kottmann received his MFA from the University of Washington, Seattle. He has exhibited widely in the US, nationally, and internationally as a representative of Canada. Kottmann is a 2014 nominee for the Joan Mitchell Painting Grant. He has taught at several US institutions, and currently holds a teaching position at the Alberta College of Art and Design.
